Meet the Mentor,
Jonathon J. Milian
NATIONALLY-RECOGNIZED COLLEGE ADVISOR
Over the last decade, Jonathon J. Milian, served as the inaugural College Assistance Program (CAP) Advisor at his beloved alma mater, Jose Marti MAST 6-12 Academy. His impact on the school was invaluable as he established a college-going culture and helped to make the school a “Top 75” public high school according to U.S. News & World Report. He has now transitioned to working as a College Advisor at a private, independent school in Broward County, FL.
In 2018, he founded Confident College Consulting and has provided the same professionalism, knowledge, and expert advice that has made him so well-regarded among his peers within the college counseling community and families across South Florida.
Not only does Jonathon have his thumbprint across Florida, he has worked nationally with students all over the United States. Since 2020, he has been an Admissions Coach with USC Bovard Scholars, a non-profit organization focused on making sure first-generation, low-income students apply to highly-selective universities and colleges.
As an advocate for post-secondary education, Jonathon mentors other college counselors and dispenses his wisdom through a variety of mediums including keynote speaking, webinars, podcasts, and publications.
THE CO3 MISSION
We’re invested in
your child’s success.
As college counselors, we know how vital our role can be in consulting families and their children throughout the college admissions process. That is why when we work with families, we maintain the utmost professionalism throughout the entirety of our time counseling. The judgments, suggestions, and decisions we make come from years of working with students applying to college as well as constant education on the ever changing college admissions process.
We enjoy talking about the process and we experience the same joy when a student gets admitted as if it were our own children. We also are here when the decision of the college or university does not go the way the student expected. There will be highs, and there will be lows but overall, this is what makes us passionate about this process. The opportunity to experience this with your child and be there for them is what makes this career gratifying and worthwhile.
At C03 we foster relationships with students and their families because we want to be honest and open with you as you will be with us. The college process is at times finicky and inexplicable -- however, that should not stop you from seeking advice or trusting that CO3 will always have the interests of the students first, and helping them find their college fit is what we specialize in.
Whether it is understanding college applications, choosing the proper course load, or brainstorming and editing college essays, our counselors are available evenings and weekends to give you our advice so that you can be confident submitting your college application.
